Our client, a well-established multidisciplinary institution in the Healthcare industry seeks to recruit an Executive Chef to manage kitchen operations and to ensure high quality meals are served.
Job Summary Description:
- Developing unique, healthy, balanced, well garnished, and highly nutritional menus.
- Identifying and introducing new culinary techniques and monitoring standards of food production to ensure quality and presentation.
- Mentors, coaches and leads a team of talented chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Ensures all equipment is properly maintained and stored, with all breakages and breakdowns properly reported, recorded, and follow-up on repairs accordingly.
- Maintains and enforces high hygiene standards and ensures safe food handling practices are adhered to.
- Controls Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and adheres to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) guidelines are achieved and maintained.
- Complies with mandatory food handlers’ medical examinations regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that appropriate food utilisation controls are in place by eliminating leakages and wastage within the kitchen.
- Maintains a sound knowledge of stock management practices and ensures adequate food stock levels are always maintained.
- Promotes the brand through exceptional culinary services.
- Assesses, updates, and implements general risk assessments, fire risk assessments, hazardous substances, and manual handling.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:
- HND Professional Cookery / Degree in Culinary Arts.
- Class One Chef.
- A self stater with proven culinary experience in high-end establishments or luxury 3–5-star hotels, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Advanced culinary skills including food preparation, flavor pairings and other cooking best practices.
- Innovative with exceptional culinary skills and a strong foundation in international cuisine.
- Exceptional leadership skills, including motivation and goal setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Time management and organisation.
