Our client, a group of companies, is looking for a well-qualified Group Accountant to join their team. The individual will be reporting to the Group Financial Controller.
Remuneration: USD2,000 – USD2,500 net
Main Responsibilities:
- Process and record invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Ensure timely payment of vendor bills and collection of customer payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for the reports.
- Help ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements to the general ledger.
- Post journal entries and update the general ledger.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns, payroll tax filings, and other statutory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Provide assistance in internal and external audits.
- Handle day-to-day administrative duties related to finance.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Chartered Accountant.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience in management reporting, including board reports.
- Experience in preparation of IFRS compliant financial statements.
- Experience in TARMS.
- Experience in the Belina Payroll system.
- A person with integrity and an analytical mind.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis tools.
