An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client in the tourism industry who is looking for a well experienced and self-motivated Sales Manager to join their team.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Analyse market trends, identify target segments, and create sales strategies to achieve revenue goals.
- Build strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators, corporate clients, and wedding planners to secure bookings and generate referrals.
- Secure contracts with corporate clients, travel agencies, and tour operators to generate bookings and maximize room occupancy.
- Spearhead the formulation of packages and assist management in reviewing and implementing prices.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction to build customer loyalty and encourage repeat business.
- Develop and manage the sales department’s budget effectively.
- Plan and carry out familiarisation trips for key business suppliers from within the leisure market and travel trade industry.
- Represent the organisation in various events and exhibitions.
Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
- Degree in Sales and Marketing.
- Possess a professional qualification or be a member of a professional board eg IMM/CIM.
- At least 3 years of experience in Sales.
- Work experience in the Tourism industry is an added advantage.
- Ability to track sales performance metrics and generate reports.
- The ability to identify and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
- A confident demeanor and maintains a professional and polished appearance.
- Articulate, clear, and confident communication style, both written and verbal, to effectively convey ideas, present proposals, and negotiate with clients.
