Vacancy – Sales Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client in the tourism industry who is looking for a well experienced and self-motivated Sales Manager to join their team.


  • Analyse market trends, identify target segments, and create sales strategies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Build strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators, corporate clients, and wedding planners to secure bookings and generate referrals.
  • Secure contracts with corporate clients, travel agencies, and tour operators to generate bookings and maximize room occupancy.
  • Spearhead the formulation of packages and assist management in reviewing and implementing prices.
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction to build customer loyalty and encourage repeat business.
  • Develop and manage the sales department’s budget effectively.
  • Plan and carry out familiarisation trips for key business suppliers from within the leisure market and travel trade industry.
  • Represent the organisation in various events and exhibitions.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

  • Degree in Sales and Marketing.
  • Possess a professional qualification or be a member of a professional board eg IMM/CIM.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Sales.
  • Work experience in the Tourism industry is an added advantage.
  • Ability to track sales performance metrics and generate reports.
  • The ability to identify and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
  • A confident demeanor and maintains a professional and polished appearance.
  • Articulate, clear, and confident communication style, both written and verbal, to effectively convey ideas, present proposals, and negotiate with clients.
